Mark & I took Delaney to her 2 month check-up today.

We definitely have a growing baby girl on our hands. Delaney weighed in at 14lbs 5oz (I must add, that was with a full belly ) and measured 24.5 inches long!!!

The shots.....that was HORRIBLE!!! I started to tear up even before the nurse took the vaccines out of their package. At that point I decided it would be best for Daddy to be the bad guy. I then proceeded to step out of the room (and to the very end of the hallway). It did not matter, everyone in that building heard her scream. I could not hold back my tears at that point!!! I returned to the room after the nurse left and held her. Within a few minutes she was calm, quiet, and happy. I think I was still crying.

Gr8UnkM@:  I lucked out and held back my tears when they did the test that required the nurses to prick my second daughter's heel and cover the circles on the test sheet with blood. She screamed and I barely held it together.

Don't worry, it will get easier the next time around.

Great Auntie Sue & DAH:  My dearest Lib, That truly is a difficult part being a new mommy and all, to have to offer up pain and not really be able to explain it to her. I am sorry, I know exactly how you feel. I am proud of her for having a set of lungs.... that is pretty awesome. Hugs to all, see you in about 3 wks, ah to finally meet and hold her.... what a blessing. Dry your eyes dear, all will be ok. Susan
Tara:  Delaney is sooo cute. She is getting so big.

I am sure some of you could do without this story....that was your warning. Delaney was sleeping peacefully in her swing while I was doing some work in the office today. I heard her poop (which happens a good 2-3 times a day...no big deal). Of course I was not going to wake her until I went in and checked on her. The poor girl had it (poop) ALL up the front of her onesie!!! Every once in a while she'll have a blowout, but it comes out the back, not the front. That was a first....so was cutting the onesie off and throwing it away!!!

Great Auntie Sue & DAH:  ah, the memories.... the beauty of mother nature,oh so natural,so organic. Be relieved she does not suffer from constipation. Not a lot of fun... this way though, you can just hose that babe off. Open the windows. I believe there may be more.... no pun here. Will see you soon. Has DSB been to our fav Sushi joint yet, happy hour w. Great Auntie Sue? Let me know, CAN NOT WAIT to hold that angel of yours! Hugs, Diana's Mom
Mark (Pops in GA.) Strelecki:  The timestamp on your journal entry says it all! These things happen, so no worries about this one. I know you have it all under control. Much love and good stuff from all of us in georgia!
